An international team of astronomers has discovered two rare giant exoplanets with exceptionally low densities. The team noted that the two planets, designated TOI-791 b and TOI-791 c, are close to Jupiter in size but have extraordinarily low densities.
The two planets orbit an F7-class star located approximately 1,100 light-years from Earth. Scientists classify them as "ultra-puffy" planets — rare celestial bodies characterised by enormous size and an extremely diffuse structure.
