The American website Axios has affirmed that artificial intelligence has formed a protective shield for the United Arab Emirates against the crises that have recently struck the Middle East region, praising the efforts the country has made after betting early and successfully on boosting investment in this sector and consistently striving for global leadership in it.

The report noted that AI in the UAE in general, and in Abu Dhabi in particular, has become an inseparable part of daily life — much like reporting a pothole in the road, booking a doctor's appointment, or paying a parking fine — with AI handling all of this on a person's behalf.

The report pointed out that this boom was recently put to the test during regional tensions, with entrepreneurs affirming throughout that period that AI investments from around the world kept the UAE strong amid the risks and disruptions the region faced.

In reality, this reflects a strategic vision: the UAE has the capacity to implement sweeping changes that cannot be replicated in any other Western system.

The report added: Abu Dhabi, one of the world's wealthiest and most open business hubs, enjoys near-total penetration of AI technologies through numerous applications that schedule national ID card renewals, health insurance, or vehicle registration — with digital government and trusted apps completing paperwork and settling dues without the need to request it.
