Ibrahim Hassan, the Egypt national team manager, has delivered a message to Egyptian fans following the celebrations held at Cairo Stadium to mark the country's historic participation in the 2026 FIFA World Cup, vowing that the coaching staff and players will work to perform at a higher level in the coming period, befitting Egyptian football.

In televised remarks on the sidelines of the celebration, Ibrahim Hassan affirmed that the fans played a major role in the performance the national team delivered throughout the tournament co-hosted by the United States, Mexico, and Canada, praising the support the team received throughout its campaign.

The team manager noted that Egypt's political leadership provided significant backing to the squad from the outset of the World Cup, saying that this support helped create a positive environment for the players and coaching staff.

Ibrahim Hassan added that Egyptian fans spared no effort in supporting the national team, confirming that they stood behind the players by every means possible during the tournament's matches.

Egypt exited the World Cup at the round of 16 after losing 3-2 to reigning champions Argentina, in what was the best achievement ever recorded by the Egyptian national team in their World Cup history.

The Egypt team manager promised fans that work would continue in the next phase to produce better performances and build on what was achieved at the World Cup, in line with the ambitions of Egyptian football.
