FIFA's Appeal Committee has rejected Belgium's challenge to the reinstatement of American striker Folarin Balogun, who was sent off in the round of 32 of the North American World Cup but was permitted to play against the Red Devils in the round of 16, ruling the appeal "inadmissible". FIFA said in a statement that the Belgian Football Association did not have standing to file an appeal against the decision, "as it is not a party to the proceedings".
