Ismail Saibari, the star striker of the Moroccan national team, continued his remarkable form at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, inscribing his name in the records of Moroccan and African football through the history of World Cup appearances.

Saibari became the first Moroccan and African player to score in 3 consecutive World Cup matches, confirming his status as one of the most prominent forwards in recent years.

Saibari also equalled the record for the most goals scored by an Arab player at the World Cup after reaching his 3rd goal, matching the tallies of Sami Al-Jaber, Salem Al-Dawsari, Mohamed Salah, Youssef En-Nesyri, and Wahbi Khazri.

The player, who is close to officially joining German club Bayern Munich, has the opportunity to claim the Arab World Cup scoring record outright as the Atlas Lions continue their campaign in the tournament.

Saibari scored his first goal at the 2026 World Cup against Brazil, before netting his second against Scotland, then his third against Haiti in the third round of the group stage.
