FIFA has praised the Jordanian national team players for their conduct following their match against Algeria at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, after they took care to clean their dressing room and leave a thank-you note along with symbolic gifts for the organisers, according to a post on the federation's official account.

FIFA published a video on its official account showing the condition in which the Jordanian team left the dressing room after the match, alongside a handwritten note and traditional Jordanian sweets presented as a gesture of gratitude to the organising staff.

In their note, the Jordanian team said that the Kingdom's first-ever World Cup participation had been an unforgettable experience, praising what they described as the organisers' dedication, professionalism, and hospitality, which they said contributes to the success of the tournament. The 'Nashama' added in the note: "We are pleased to share with you some traditional Jordanian sweets, so you may taste the richness of our traditions and the hospitality for which we are known."

The gesture sparked widespread engagement on social media platforms, where it was seen as a reflection of the sporting values and positive spirit that the Jordanian team sought to display throughout their participation in the tournament.

It is worth noting that the Jordanian national team suffered a 1–2 defeat to Algeria in the second round of the group stage at the World Cup — their second loss in their maiden World Cup appearance, having also lost in the first round to Austria. Jordan are set to face Argentina on the morning of 28 June in the final round of the group stage.
