Brian Brobbey, the Netherlands national team striker, has become the ninth player in his country's history to score two goals in a single match at the 2026 FIFA World Cup in the United States, Mexico and Canada.

After scoring the opening goal in the 5th minute, Brobbey added a second in the 17th minute, receiving a pass from the right flank from Denzel Dumfries before slotting the ball into the net.

Following Wout Weghorst's brace against Argentina in the quarter-finals of the previous edition in Qatar, Brobbey has written a new chapter in the history of Dutch scorers, this time against Sweden. Group F also features Japan and Tunisia, who meet on Sunday morning in their second-round fixtures.
