Ismail Saibari, the Morocco national team striker, has written himself into the history of the 2026 World Cup by scoring the fastest goal in the tournament so far.
Saibari put Morocco ahead against Scotland after just 70 seconds from the opening whistle, making it the fastest goal in the current edition of the World Cup.
The early strike gave a major morale boost to the Atlas Lions, who entered the match with great attacking intent as they sought a win and to move closer to qualification for the round of 32.
Saibari has now brought his tally to 2 goals at World Cup 2026, having previously scored his first against Brazil.
