Brazilian football legends Ronaldo Nazário and Roberto Carlos have recreated their famous celebration against Argentina after 22 years, appearing in a short clip on TikTok in which they repeated one of the iconic moments that brought them together in Brazil's national team shirt.
The video, which Ronaldo posted on his TikTok account, lasted just 6 seconds, but achieved wide reach among fans by reviving memories of the Brazilian duo.
The original moment dates back to 2 June 2004, according to the caption on an AFP archive photograph, when Ronaldo kissed his teammate Roberto Carlos on the head while celebrating one of his three goals — a hat-trick — against Argentina, during Brazil's 3-1 victory at the Mineirão stadium in Belo Horizonte in South American qualifying for the 2006 World Cup.
Ronaldo and Roberto Carlos formed one of the most celebrated partnerships in the history of Brazilian football, having played alongside each other for many years both with the Brazil national team and at Real Madrid.
The duo were crowned world champions with Brazil at the 2002 World Cup in South Korea and Japan, after the Samba boys defeated Germany 2-0 in the final, with Ronaldo scoring both goals to seal the country's fifth world title.
