Al Ain Football Club has officially announced the end of Togolese international striker Laba Kodjo's time with the first team, drawing the curtain on a historic era of contribution spanning seven consecutive seasons in which he defended the colours of Al Zaeem, setting remarkable records in the history of UAE football.
From the time he joined Al Ain in 2019 until 2026, Laba Kodjo wore the Al Ain shirt in 221 official matches across various domestic, continental and international competitions, scoring 171 goals in the process — making him the all-time top scorer in Al Ain's history during the professional era.
In the league, the Togolese striker asserted his absolute dominance by scoring 142 goals in 155 matches in the ADNOC Pro League, claiming the league's top-scorer title 5 times. The peak of his scoring came in the 2022–23 season with 28 goals, followed by the 2021–22 season with 26 goals, the 2024–25 season with 20 goals, and the 2025–26 season with 24 goals, while he opened his career in the 2019–20 season by scoring 19 goals.
