Al Wahda Club has announced the preparation programme for its first football team ahead of the new season, which kicks off on 14 August in the ADNOC Professional League.

Al Wahda had launched its initial preparations last week with a squad gathering and medical examinations, followed by a meeting of the technical and administrative staff, after Brazilian coach Pericles Chamusca officially took up his duties following his appointment to manage the club next season.

The preparation programme includes an overseas training camp in Germany, with departure to Europe set for 7 July. During the camp, the team will play 4 friendly matches aimed at raising the squad's technical and physical readiness.

The team will return to Abu Dhabi on 27 July, where it will be given 2 days of rest before resuming the third phase of the preparation programme from 29 July, which includes 2 to 3 friendly matches in the lead-up to entering the new season's competitions in the best possible condition. Al Wahda will open their ADNOC Professional League campaign with a home fixture against Ajman at Al Nahyan Stadium in the first round of the competition.
