The Futsal Committee of the UAE Sports for All Federation has approved an increase in the number of participating teams to 10 across 4 tournaments in the new season beginning next October, and committed to providing the requirements needed to attract teams from government institutions and communities.

Saeed Al Aajel, President of the UAE Sports for All Federation and Chairman of the Committee, affirmed his commitment to ensuring the success of the competition and supporting the widespread growth of the game, particularly following the advanced levels displayed by 8 teams in the first season and the qualification of some clubs for external tournaments.

Al Aajel explained that all evaluation indicators for the first season of the Futsal League confirmed that the league is on the threshold of qualitative stages of development, with a view to achieving strategic objectives, including expanding the game's reach across the country and attracting players to competitions — especially as the national teams are on the verge of important participations in continental and international tournaments.

The President of the UAE Sports for All Federation noted that players from the teams participating in the league have a major opportunity to represent the national teams in a number of tournaments, most notably the 2026 Arab Championship, the Asian Cup for national teams in Indonesia next August, and the Under-23 World Cup in Croatia next October.
