Khor Fakkan Club for the Disabled has announced that its athletics team will participate in the Olomouc International Championship — Grand Prix 2026 — in the Czech Republic from 2 to 4 July. The club noted that preparation programmes for both its athletics and powerlifting teams have begun at a training camp currently under way in the capital Prague, emphasising the camp's importance in raising players' performance levels ahead of the official competitions.
Abdullah Saleh Al Naqbi, chairman of the board of directors, affirmed the club's commitment to providing the best preparation programmes for its sports teams and creating a fully integrated training environment for players. He explained that overseas training camps are one of the essential pillars of team preparation, given the opportunities they offer for intensive training and complete focus.
Dr Louay Saeed Allay, deputy chairman of the board of directors, noted that the camp is being held as part of a comprehensive preparation plan in an advanced training environment, and expressed confidence that it would contribute to improving performance and raising the level of competition in line with the club's aspirations.
Abdulaziz Ahmed Al Hammadi, chairman of the Technical Affairs and Talent Care Committee and head of the delegation, indicated that the Czech Republic was selected for the suitable training environment and advanced sports facilities it offers, which help in implementing the technical programme ahead of the new season.
