The UAE World Endurance Village at Al Wathba has launched the "UAE World Endurance Village Race Series" initiative, encompassing races in more than 10 countries around the world and running for 6 months from June to December 2026.
The organising committee announced that the first event of the series got under way on Friday in the French city of Compiègne, which is hosting the opening race of the initiative as part of an international endurance event held from 19 to 21 June, making France the starting point of the series' global programme.
The initiative is an extension of the vision of the wise leadership aimed at supporting endurance sport and the equestrian sector, consolidating the United Arab Emirates' status as a leading global hub in this field, and highlighting the role played by the UAE World Endurance Village in supporting and developing endurance races both locally and internationally.
The initiative spans 6 months, with its races taking place across more than 10 countries in 2026, including France, Portugal, Argentina, South Africa, Namibia, Chile, Romania, Slovakia, Uruguay, Spain, and Greece. A delegation from the Village will be accompanied during the international races by a number of partners and sponsors, who will offer interactive activities for race audiences and showcase their products and services.
Muslim Al Ameri, Director General of the UAE World Endurance Village, praised the support and patronage of the wise leadership for the Village and for endurance sport in the UAE and worldwide, affirming that this support contributes to the Village's development and strengthens its vital role in elevating endurance races on the global stage.
Al Ameri said: "The Global Endurance Race Series initiative comes within the Village's efforts to enhance cooperation with national federations and organising bodies in the host countries, and to develop the partnership and coordination with the International Equestrian Federation, thereby contributing to the support and development of the endurance sport ecosystem across various race venues."
He added that the UAE World Endurance Village operates according to a strategy aimed at strengthening its presence at international forums by launching qualitative initiatives that support endurance sport and expand its reach, noting that the Village's team will work in coordination with organising bodies and sponsorship companies to provide the necessary support for the races and to implement accompanying programmes and interactive and promotional activities in the host countries.
Al Ameri affirmed that the initiative reflects the Village's aspiration to present a world-class model to be emulated in supporting and organising endurance races, and to contribute to elevating the standing of the sport and enhancing its spread across various parts of the world.
