Brighton have signed Croatian international defender Luka Vušković from rivals Tottenham for a club-record fee estimated at £46 million ($62 million), with the possibility of the total value rising further, the club announced on Tuesday.
The 19-year-old, who was part of Croatia's squad at the 2026 World Cup, has signed a five-year contract with Brighton, with an option to extend for one additional year.
Tottenham will receive an additional £4 million in performance-related bonuses, while the deal also includes a clause granting them 20% of the value of any future transfer of the player. Vušković joined Tottenham in 2025 from Hajduk Split, but spent last season on loan at German club Hamburg. The central defender never played an official match for Tottenham.
