Arsenal, the English Premier League champions, have signed French goalkeeper Ilan Miliey as backup after he became a free agent following the expiration of his contract with Leeds United, the north London club announced. The 26-year-old goalkeeper, who was born and trained at Lorient, spent seven seasons in Leeds colours but endured a disappointing final campaign with the Whites after falling down the pecking order behind Brazilian goalkeeper Lucas Perei and Karl Darlow.
At Arsenal, the former France youth international is expected to be the third-choice goalkeeper, behind Spaniards David Raya and Kepa Arrizabalaga.
