The Asian Handball Federation has officially confirmed the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan as the host of the 11th Asian Youth Handball Championship for players born in 2008 and later, which serves as a qualifier for the 2027 Youth World Championship. The tournament will be held from 20 to 31 August, a decision that reaffirms continued confidence in Jordan's capacity to organise and host top continental tournaments. The Asian federation has also set 1 July as the deadline for national federations to confirm their participation, ahead of completing organisational procedures and drawing up the competition schedule.

The decision came in an official circular issued by the Executive Committee of the Asian Handball Federation, addressed to all participating national federations. It included an amendment to the venue and dates of the championship, along with the timeline for delegation arrivals, competitions, and departures, and called on federations to confirm their participation before 1 July.

The championship holds exceptional importance as it represents the official qualifying tournament for the 2027 Youth World Championship, with Asian teams competing for world qualification berths. This comes amid significant development in the continent's youth-category teams and a rising level of technical competition in recent years.

The tournament is expected to draw broad participation from the strongest Asian teams, making it one of the most competitive continental editions both technically and organisationally, while offering young players a valuable opportunity to gain experience and international exposure in preparation for upcoming competitions.
