Rider Abdullah Mohammed Al Mari won silver at the Hickstead International Championship, while rider Hamid Abdullah Al Muhairi claimed bronze at one of Britain's most prestigious international show jumping tournaments, which was held from 18 to 21 June.
The event featured top-level competitions including the Hickstead Derby, as well as globally ranked rounds attended by elite riders competing for international ranking points and major prizes. The UAE riders secured top-10 finishes in the four-star international competitions and in the young horses jumping classes, as part of their preparation for participation on grass arenas at the 2026 FEI World Equestrian Championships in Aachen, Germany.
Al Mari won silver in the Masters Championship prize with the horse BBS McGregor, in a two-round competition over 1.50-metre fences. Al Muhairi claimed Masters bronze with the horse Vonchateau VD Heffinck, while Al Mari also finished seventh with the horse Kian. Rider Mabkhout Uwaida Al Karbi, with the mare Casal Shina, won silver in the Grand Prix of Donny.
The young horses from Al Sheraa Stables produced strong results, most notably with the horse Earl, ridden by Hamid Abdullah Al Muhairi, winning the qualifying round for 7-year-old young horses over 1.40-metre fences, and also finishing seventh in the final round.
The horse Felon, ridden by Hamid Al Muhairi, won silver in the 6-year-old young horses category over 1.30-metre fences. The horse SS Queen Lane, bred by Al Sheraa Stables and ridden by Omar Abdulaziz Al Marzouqi, secured a place among the top-10 finishers in the 5-year-old young horses final round over 1.20-metre fences.
