UAE Team Emirates – XRG will begin its campaign in the 113th edition of the Tour de France with high ambitions to defend its title, relying on world champion Tadej Pogačar, who is targeting a fifth Tour victory and a third consecutive one, in what is expected to be one of the strongest editions of the world's most prestigious race.
The Tour departs from Barcelona tomorrow, covering 3,333 kilometres across varied and challenging terrain, with the world's finest cyclists competing over three weeks in a test of physical and technical ability all the way to the finish line.
Pogačar enters the race in high spirits following a string of impressive results this season, most notably his performances in the spring classics and his victory at the Tour de Suisse, as he continues his pursuit of a record that already includes four Tour de France titles.
