Dubai Basketball Club continues to implement its plan to strengthen its ranks ahead of the new 2026–2027 season, aiming to build on the achievements of its second season, during which it won the Adriatic League (ABA League) title and participated for the first time in the EuroLeague, making competition in both tournaments among its primary objectives for the coming season.

During the preparation period, the club focused on two main pillars: retaining the core of the team by renewing contracts with a number of its key players, and reinforcing the coaching staff and squad with personnel who possess extensive experience in European competitions.

Following the club's signing of Spanish coach Xavi Pascual on a contract running until 2029 to lead the team in the next phase — drawing on his vast experience in the EuroLeague — the club announced the addition of 4 coaches to the technical staff under Pascual's leadership: assistant coaches Iñigo Zorzano, Oscar Auriana, and Adamantios Panagiotopoulos, alongside Alejandro García as fitness coach, as part of efforts to bolster the coaching staff with European expertise, most of whom have previously worked with Pascual at successful coaching stints.

On the player front, the club extended the contract of Canadian Mfiondu Kabengele until 2028, following his outstanding performance last season in which he contributed to the team's ABA League title, was named the best player of the Finals series, and was selected to the competition's All-Star Five.

The contract of American Dwayne Bacon was also renewed until 2028, following the impressive levels he delivered and his selection to the ABA League All-Star Five, as he continues his journey with the team into the new season.

As part of further squad reinforcement, the club signed American Jaron Blossomgame on a contract running until 2028, arriving from French side Monaco after 4 consecutive seasons in the EuroLeague during which he played 160 games. He will add to the team's ranks the experience he has gained on both American and European courts, in addition to his contribution to Monaco's league and cup double in France last season.
