The second edition of the Al Ain Camel Racing Festival continued today at Al Rawdah track for the second consecutive day, with a preliminary weanlings race over a distance of 2 km held during the morning session, drawing local and Gulf participation.
'Al Shahiniya', owned by Hathith bin Manqash bin Saeed Al Harsousi, topped Heat 1 with a time of 2:51:04 minutes, while 'Rayeq', owned by Ghasi Salim Manakher Al Waheibi, claimed the Heat 2 title with a time of 2:50:03 minutes. 'Suyouf', owned by Mohammed Hilal Ali Al Jahafi, won Heat 3 with a time of 2:49:01 minutes.
'Layeq', owned by Salim Ali Salem Al Junaibi, claimed the Heat 4 title with a time of 2:52:05 minutes, while 'Ihtilal', owned by Mohammed Khalifa bin Taleb Al Mehri, won Heat 5 with a time of 2:46:28 minutes — the best time of the session.
'Ghunayem', owned by Hamad Mohammed Salem Al Waheibi, won Heat 6 with a time of 2:53:32 minutes, and 'Shaman', owned by Salim Hamad Nasser Al Junaibi, claimed Heat 7 with a time of 2:49:69 minutes, while 'Mahaba', owned by Mohammed Mohsen Masri Al Hamli, took the lead in Heat 8 with a time of 2:53:25 minutes.
'Fal', owned by Hammoud Abdullah Shams Al Maharbi, claimed the Heat 9 title with a time of 2:49:69 minutes, and Heat 10 was won by 'Mubashir', owned by Mubarak Saeed Balkila Al Ameri, with a time of 2:53:72 minutes.
