Dubai Sports Council has announced record participation in basketball, indoor cricket and wall climbing competitions at the Dubai Schools Games, which the council organises in cooperation with the Ministry of Sports, the Ministry of Education, and the Knowledge and Human Development Authority, in an operational partnership with ESM.

The council confirmed in a statement today that the games continue to consolidate their standing as a primary platform for discovering and developing sporting talent and preparing a new generation of athletes capable of representing the country's clubs and national teams in the future, noting that competition statistics confirmed record growth across all aspects.

The basketball tournament, held at the Basketball Hub Dubai Academy, saw the participation of 1,500 male and female students across 124 teams competing in six age categories, compared with 768 participants last season, reflecting continued growth in the school sports participation base.

Danube Sports World hosted the indoor cricket competitions, with 300 players representing 30 teams in the under-11 and under-15 categories. The competitions featured distinguished technical levels and strong competition among the participating schools.

In wall climbing, male and female students from 19 schools took part in competitions hosted by James World Academy, amid notable technical levels that demonstrated the development of participants' skills in this growing sport.
