UAE national boxing team member Ammar Tayel, 17, has achieved an unprecedented historic milestone in Emirati boxing, becoming the youngest player to compete in a professional bout and win by knockout at the very start of his professional career, cementing his status as an exceptional talent with a promising future in the "noble art".

Mohammed Eid Al Mazrouei, Secretary-General of the UAE Boxing Federation, said: "This achievement reflects the development of our sport and the success of our efforts to nurture national talent." He noted that the feat came during a bout held at Meydan Galleria in Dubai as part of the Immortal Reign BATL championship, where Tayel clinically settled the contest in his favour with a knockout against his opponent Daivaz Arieho of Uganda in the 59 kg weight category, proving his worth and high capability in the professional boxing ring.

Ammar Tayel is considered one of the most prominent rising talents on the sporting scene, continuing to draw attention with his high technical skills inside the ring, establishing a new phase in his professional career that qualifies him to compete strongly and claim further titles at the local, regional, and international levels.

Omar Al Kindy, member of the UAE Boxing Federation's board of directors and chairman of the professional committee, affirmed that this achievement reflects the continuous development witnessed by Emirati boxing and the unlimited support afforded to talented players to represent the country and raise its flag at various sporting events.

Omar Al Kindy said: "Ammar Tayel is an honourable model for the sporting youth of the United Arab Emirates, and he has proven that commitment and hard work are the foundation for achieving great things. What has been accomplished is a source of pride for Emirati boxing and confirms the success of the efforts and strategies for developing and nurturing national talent."
