Gaza, southern Lebanon, Syria, Iran — 4 fronts that have been the theatre of military escalation for years and months up to the moment these lines are being written.

We have heard and read the following:

1 – A ceasefire agreement in Gaza and the formation of a global peace council to manage affairs of the conflict in Gaza.

2 – We heard of the signing of a memorandum of understanding — named the Islamabad Memorandum — between the Americans and the Iranians to halt the firing, lift the blockade on the Strait of Hormuz, and unfreeze Iranian assets.

3 – We heard and read of an agreement signed in Washington between the Lebanese and Israeli parties under strong American sponsorship.

Despite all of the above, identity-based killings in Gaza continue, Israeli bombardment and assassination operations in southern Lebanon continue, and ground intervention and intelligence operations in the Damascus countryside continue.

The latest developments include Iranian strikes on Kuwait and Bahrain, and American strikes on some Iranian military installations.

After all of this, we still speak of stability and hope for security, peace, and coexistence among all those in the region!
