US President Donald Trump affirmed that the agreement reached with Iran has achieved all the objectives Washington sought, foremost among them preventing Tehran from acquiring a nuclear weapon and reopening the Strait of Hormuz to maritime traffic, stressing that these outcomes would not have been possible without the deal.

Trump thanked partners for their strenuous efforts and expressed hope that this peace agreement would be the beginning of a broader deal encompassing the entire Middle East.
