The Ukrainian army announced that it had targeted a factory producing electronic components for missiles in Russia's Voronezh region, in the latest long-range Ukrainian strike against Russia's defence sector.

In a statement published on Telegram, the Ukrainian General Staff said it had used air-launched cruise missiles to strike the facility, which it described as a critical element of Russian defence production.

The statement said the plant manufactures electronics used in Russian missiles, particularly for the Iskander tactical missile system. Footage filmed from a car passing near the site, verified by Reuters, showed thick black smoke rising from at least two locations within the factory.

The Ukrainian General Staff also said its forces had targeted the Dubna space communications centre in the Moscow region of Russia. Russia's official TASS news agency later reported that the centre had come under a heavy drone attack carried out by the Ukrainian armed forces, but that television broadcasting and communications were unaffected.
