France's UN Security Council envoy says Iran must guarantee reopening of Strait of Hormuz without conditions

France's ambassador to the UN Security Council, Jérôme Bonnafont, has affirmed that Iran must guarantee the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz without conditions.

Speaking during a Security Council session on the situation in Iran, the French envoy said that Iran must cease its destabilisation efforts in the region.

He also called on Tehran to halt its support for armed groups in the region.
