The death toll from two earthquakes that struck Venezuela on 24 June has risen to 1,943, according to National Assembly President Jorge Rodriguez.
Rodriguez said: "We have counted 1,943 dead so far," noting more than 10,500 injured and 15,000 displaced. A total of 6,461 people have been rescued since relief operations began.
