The number of confirmed Ebola virus cases in the Democratic Republic of Congo has risen to 1,203, including 321 deaths, according to government data released on Friday.
As part of efforts to contain the outbreak, authorities have tightened measures and imposed travel restrictions on those returning from affected areas, according to the Ministry of Communications and Media.
The outbreak, which was declared in mid-May, is caused by the Bundibugyo strain, for which no licensed vaccine or specific treatment is currently available.
