A research team from the University of Ottawa in Canada has discovered a new species of "western frog" in Canada, a rare find that sheds light on exceptional biodiversity and supports wildlife conservation plans.
The study, published in the journal Diversity and Distributions, revealed that the frog, which lives east of the Rocky Mountains, possesses vocal sacs that produce mating calls, while other western populations lack these traits.
