The Youth Council of Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) organised an awareness workshop as part of the fourth season of the "Summer Camp 2026", held by "Farjan Dubai" and "Khidmat Al Ameen", to raise awareness among Dubai school students in the Al Khawaneej and Al Barsha areas, aged between 5 and 15 years, about the importance of electricity and water conservation, reducing waste, and ways to protect the environment and natural resources.
The workshop, held under the title "Electricity and Water Heroes", focused on instilling sustainability values and concepts in students, and empowering them to play their role within their families and schools to build a more sustainable community.
Using an interactive and simplified approach, the workshop highlighted a range of practical tips and guidelines to motivate students to adopt daily habits and practices that help them improve electricity and water efficiency, and contribute to bringing about positive change in their homes and schools.
Engineer Aisha Mohammed Al Rmaythi, Chairwoman of the Authority's Youth Council, said: "We support the Authority's efforts in the field of social responsibility, and work to enhance the participation of the new generation in building a more sustainable future.
In the Year of the Family in the United Arab Emirates, we are consolidating our contribution to building an aware, responsible generation that is equipped to face current and future climate challenges.
We are pleased to participate in events and programmes that invest the time and energy of young people during the summer holiday to entrench the concept of teamwork and a culture of responsibility."
