Dubai Municipality has announced that its 'Young Future Leaders' programme will run from 1 July to 15 August 2026, totalling more than 200 working hours, calling on university students and recent graduates to apply. The programme serves as an open laboratory and collaborative space to empower young people and engage them in designing future solutions and projects. It aims to attract talented young Emirati minds from among undergraduate and postgraduate students, with the goal of developing their knowledge and skills, integrating them into the municipal work environment, and adopting creative ideas through participatory design with youth, channelling them as outputs that support the municipality's projects.

The municipality explained that the programme targets third- and fourth-year undergraduate students, as well as master's and doctoral students and recent graduates of the past two years. The programme aims to empower young people to contribute to urban development and improve quality of life, while opening the door to applicants from various other disciplines with an interest in this field. It functions as a collaborative laboratory for ideas and pioneering projects in municipal work, offering students the opportunity to undergo a distinctive experience that develops their leadership and innovation skills through real-world challenges and practical projects.

This initiative comes within the framework of Dubai Municipality's commitment to investing in the energies of youth and preparing them to be 'today's youth… tomorrow's leaders'. The programme is among the most prominent leading training programmes developed by Dubai Municipality, stemming from its belief in the capabilities of Emirati youth and their role in shaping the future of municipal work, as an embodiment of the Emirate of Dubai's strategic vision aimed at empowering national cadres and preparing them to be ready to lead the future.
