The Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure, represented by the Sheikh Zayed Housing Programme, has signed a cooperation agreement with Emirates Telecommunications Group (e&), aimed at providing a comprehensive package of smart digital services and solutions for programme beneficiaries and ministry employees, contributing to the enhancement of quality of life and supporting the shift towards smart and sustainable residential communities.

The agreement aims to deliver a range of advanced technical offers and services, including home internet services, home automation, smart devices, and the "Hisntak" early fire-warning system, alongside services and offers from the "Smiles" platform, enabling citizens to benefit from modern technologies in their homes and elevating the smart living experience.

Engineer Mohammed Ibrahim Al Mansoori, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure for Infrastructure and Transport Affairs, said the agreement embodies the ministry's orientation towards building a more integrated and sustainable housing ecosystem by deploying digital technologies and smart solutions in the development of services provided to citizens. He noted that the ministry aims to enhance quality of life, empower residential communities to benefit from the latest innovations that contribute to improving housing efficiency, and promote safety, sustainability, and the country's targets for digital transformation and building integrated smart cities.

For his part, Engineer Musaed Khalid Al Muhaidib, Acting Director of the Sheikh Zayed Housing Programme, indicated that the agreement comes within the programme's commitment to expanding its strategic partnerships with the private sector and delivering qualitative benefits and services that enhance quality of life for citizens, supporting the UAE's drive to build integrated and sustainable residential communities that provide the highest levels of comfort, security and wellbeing for Emirati families.

Said Al Zarooni, Chief Procurement Officer at e& Group, said the strategic partnership represents a living model of integrated efforts between the public and private sectors to accelerate the pace of comprehensive digital transformation and shape new features of smart residential communities in the UAE. Under the agreement, e& will provide exclusive offers to Sheikh Zayed Housing Programme beneficiaries and ministry employees on a range of smart services and solutions, in addition to offering technical consultations and specialised proposals that support the adoption of modern technologies in national homes.

This step comes as part of the Sheikh Zayed Housing Programme's efforts to broaden cooperation with its strategic partners and provide value-added services to beneficiaries, reinforcing the sustainability of the residential sector and enhancing quality of life in the country's residential communities.
