The Emirates Charity Association has launched the "Summer of Goodness" campaign, comprising 6 qualitative humanitarian initiatives aimed at alleviating the effects of the summer season on low-income families, workers, and the most vulnerable groups both inside and outside the country, embodying the United Arab Emirates' approach to promoting social solidarity and sustainable charitable work.
Abdullah Saeed Al Tunaiji, Secretary-General of the Emirates Charity Association, affirmed that the campaign was designed on the basis of an actual study of the most prominent challenges facing eligible groups, with the aim of providing practical solutions that contribute to improving their quality of life and ensuring their stability. He called on members of the community and institutions from both the public and private sectors to actively contribute to supporting the campaign in order to broaden its humanitarian impact.
The campaign addresses diverse living needs through its innovative initiatives, which include the "Cool Their Lives" initiative to provide cooling appliances to low-income families, and the "Light Their Lives" initiative dedicated to settling electricity bills and easing financial burdens.
In addition, the "We Made Every Living Thing from Water" initiative distributes cold water to workers at their worksites in recognition of their efforts and to preserve their safety. The initiatives also extend to providing housing stability through the "Safe Home" initiative, which covers outstanding rental payments, and the "Orphan Happiness" initiative, which supports the social and educational activities of orphans.
On the international front, the association is offering the "Summer Basket" initiative to provide food baskets to needy families outside the country, thereby enhancing their food security and helping meet their basic needs.
