The Sharjah Family Development Foundation celebrated the graduation of the fourth cohort of participants in its rehabilitation programme, "Psychological Development", in a step that reflects its ongoing commitment to preparing specialised national cadres in the fields of psychological and family counselling, and to strengthening the mental health system and quality of life within the community.
The graduation ceremony crowned a training journey spanning 132 training hours, during which participants engaged in an integrated academic and practical programme comprising 31 specialised training workshops delivered by 24 trainers and experts, alongside 3 field visits. The programme resulted in the graduation of 10 academically and professionally qualified specialists equipped with the skills needed to provide psychological and family services in accordance with best professional practices.
Moudi bint Mohammed Al Shamsi, Chairwoman of the Sharjah Family Development Foundation, affirmed that psychological development is not merely a professional discipline, but a humanitarian mission and a societal responsibility that contributes to building more cohesive families and more aware and stable communities.
The ceremony featured a panel discussion entitled "Empowering National Cadres and Creating Impact", moderated by Nada Al Shahi, Head of the Media Department, with the participation of Mouza Al Shahi, Director of the Family Counselling Department, and Amira Al Marzouqi, Head of the Psychological Consultations Department. The session addressed the most prominent challenges facing specialists in the field of psychological consultations, the importance of building professional relationships based on empathy, active listening, respect for beneficiaries' privacy, and refraining from passing premature judgements.
