Beit Al Khair Society has committed to paying 183,450 dirhams to cover the treatment costs of a resident of the country suffering from lung cancer that has spread to the lymph nodes, as part of its ongoing humanitarian efforts to support critical medical cases within the UAE.

According to medical reports, the patient underwent surgery that included removal of the primary tumour in the lung along with excision of the lymph nodes affected by the cancerous spread, as part of the approved treatment plan to control the disease and limit its progression and complications.

The medical team also recommended completing treatment through 4 chemotherapy sessions at Zulekha Hospital at a total cost of 154,350 dirhams, in addition to a subsequent cardiac catheterisation procedure following the completion of chemotherapy at an additional cost of 29,100 dirhams.

The Society covered the full cost of treatment in order to ease the burden on the patient and his family and help him complete his treatment journey without any financial obstacles, ensuring the stability of his health condition and the continuation of necessary medical care in a timely manner.

It is worth noting that the patient is a UAE resident who relies on a limited income, supporting his wife who is a homemaker, while his children contribute to covering part of the daily living requirements under financial obligations that do not allow for covering the high treatment costs associated with chronic and complex illnesses.

This response comes within the framework of a comprehensive system of humanitarian initiatives implemented by Beit Al Khair, which include, alongside direct support for medical cases, dedicated broadcast programmes for presenting and following up on humanitarian cases.
