The curtain has fallen on the fifth edition of the Khor Fakkan Mango Festival 2026, held over three days under the slogan "Mango: Our Fruit, Our Wealth."
The festival achieved remarkable success, attracting more than 40,000 visitors from inside and outside the country, with the participation of 55 farmers who displayed more than 150 varieties of locally grown mangoes, bananas, and seasonal fruits, alongside innovative initiatives that reinforced the festival's standing as one of the country's most prominent specialised agricultural events.
A highlight was the participation of productive families, who presented diverse products and innovations in food industries, including the first Emirati product combining mango and honey, as well as juices, biscuits, homemade pickles, and innovative perfume projects inspired by the scent of mango and citrus fruits — further cementing the festival's role as an incubator for ideas and entrepreneurial ventures.
The festival drew wide participation from within the country, Gulf states, and Uganda, and allowed visitors to purchase mango fruit and the finest mango and agricultural seedlings directly from producers at competitive prices. It also distinguished itself by providing free display platforms to facilitate direct access by Emirati farmers from across the country's emirates to the public, and by opening doors to home agricultural initiatives to enable individuals to showcase their local produce.
The festival organised specialised workshops in cooperation with the Ministry of Climate Change and the Environment and the Sharjah Agriculture Department, covering smart farming methods, mango tree care, irrigation and fertilisation techniques, and pest control.
Visitors were also able to purchase mango fruit and agricultural seedlings directly from producers. Khalil Al Mansouri, the festival's general coordinator and Director of Government Relations at the Sharjah Chamber, affirmed that the festival continues to consolidate its role in supporting Emirati farmers and opening broader marketing horizons for their products.
