The Emirates Cancer Society, in cooperation with Abu Dhabi University's Al Ain campus, organised a visit to the oncology department at Tawam Hospital under the slogan "Because They Deserve Hope", aimed at providing psychological and moral support to cancer patients and their families, as part of efforts to raise community awareness of the importance of mental support during the treatment journey.
The visit included checking on patients and enquiring about their conditions, alongside the distribution of symbolic gifts that brought joy to their spirits. The event was concluded when one survivor marked the end of her treatment journey by ringing the "Bell of Life", a global tradition symbolising the completion of treatment and recovery from illness.
