The Gulf Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturing Companies Association (Pharmagy), which specialises in innovative biopharmaceutical research, and the Community Development Authority – Ma'an, Abu Dhabi's official government channel for receiving community contributions, have signed a strategic cooperation agreement aimed at facilitating access to innovative solutions and modern treatments for the most in-need oncology and rare disease patients, within an integrated framework aligned with the health insurance system.

Abdullah Al Aameri, Director General of the Community Development Authority – Ma'an, said the cooperation with Pharmagy represents a qualitative strategic step towards consolidating a sustainable and integrated healthcare system for oncology and chronic disease patients in Abu Dhabi, reflecting the authority's commitment to responding to social priorities that matter to members of the community, particularly in the health sector.

Mohamed Abdullah Al Awadhi, Executive Director of the Health System Finance Regulation Sector at the Department of Health – Abu Dhabi, explained that the cooperation between the Community Development Authority – Ma'an and Pharmagy supports the department's mission to ensure community members have easy access to the highest levels of healthcare, accelerate the pace of innovation and research in the healthcare sector, and support early detection and treatment of rare diseases.

Sameh Al Finjari, Chairman of the Board of the Gulf Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturing Companies Association (Pharmagy), said the association, as a representative of pharmaceutical companies engaged in developing modern treatments, is committed to partnering with health and social entities in Abu Dhabi to continue ensuring that patients receive the treatment and care they need whenever they require it.
