The Artificial Intelligence Agenda Committee of the Emirates Pharmaceutical Authority, chaired by His Excellency Saeed bin Mubarak Al Hajeri, Minister of State and Chairman of the Board, and with the participation of Dr. Fatima Al Kaabi, Director General of the Authority, and committee members, reviewed the latest developments in implementing the shift towards Agentic AI in the regulatory work of the pharmaceutical sector.
The committee also discussed its applications in drug registration operations, control and inspection, and supply chains, alongside strengthening data integration and developing performance indicators. It also reviewed plans to enable regulatory operations to enhance pharmaceutical security and raise readiness to face global changes.
His Excellency Saeed Al Hajeri affirmed that the United Arab Emirates continues to consolidate its global standing in adopting and deploying Agentic AI across vital sectors, noting that its adoption in the pharmaceutical sector represents a qualitative step towards a more efficient and proactive system, supporting the country's position as a global hub for innovation and advanced regulation.
Dr. Fatima Al Kaabi explained that the adoption of Agentic AI represents a qualitative shift in working mechanisms, as it contributes to accelerating data analysis and supporting proactive decision-making, thereby enhancing the efficiency of regulatory operations and raising the capacity to respond to future variables with high efficiency and flexibility.
This direction reflects the Emirates Pharmaceutical Authority's commitment to developing a more efficient and flexible system capable of keeping pace with global transformations and enhancing decision quality at all stages of work.
