Sheikh Saleh bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Chairman of the Fujairah Department of Industry and Economy, received a delegation from the Ministry of Health and Prevention, headed by Dr. Amin Hussein Al Amiri, Assistant Undersecretary for the Health Regulation Sector, during a field visit to Al Sharq Dibba Fujairah Hospital, in the presence of Dr. Mahmoud Al Rifai, Chief Executive of Operations at Al Sharq Healthcare Group.
The visit forms part of the ministry's efforts to enhance the readiness of healthcare facilities, raise the quality of services provided to patients and clients, and support the sustainability of the health system in accordance with the highest national and international standards, in line with the country's drive to establish an integrated healthcare model that promotes the health and quality of life of community members.
The delegation reviewed the hospital's operational readiness level, the approved plans to ensure continuity of healthcare services, and the institutional capacities and supporting infrastructure for the efficient delivery of healthcare. It also examined the hospital's development initiatives and coordination mechanisms between medical and administrative teams, with a view to enhancing response speed and improving the client experience and quality of services provided.
The visit included an expanded meeting with hospital management and specialised staff, during which opportunities for developing healthcare services were reviewed and initiatives supporting the enhancement of operational efficiency were discussed. The meeting also addressed ways to improve services related to organ and human tissue donation and transplantation, contributing to broader access to these vital services and entrenching a culture of humanitarian giving.
Dr. Amin Hussein Al Amiri said that the Ministry of Health and Prevention continues to conduct field visits to healthcare facilities across the country's various emirates, with the aim of supporting institutional excellence, enhancing health readiness, exchanging expertise, and reviewing best practices, thereby contributing to the development of healthcare services and achieving the highest levels of efficiency and sustainability.
He affirmed that health readiness represents one of the fundamental pillars of the integrated healthcare system in the United Arab Emirates, and that the ministry is committed to strengthening cooperation with various partners in the health sector and applying best practices and approved standards, in support of the continuity of healthcare services, the enhancement of quality of life and community health, and the consolidation of the UAE's standing as a leading model in health readiness and the quality of advanced healthcare services.
