Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad Al Sharqi, Crown Prince of Fujairah, received Sultan Jami Al Hindassi, Director General of the Fujairah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, at his office in the Emiri Diwan. During the meeting, His Highness was briefed on the Chamber's general report, its current operations, and its present and future projects.
His Highness affirmed the importance of the role played by the Fujairah Chamber of Commerce and Industry in supporting the business community and the trade and investment sector in the emirate, commending its efforts to promote economic growth and prosperity at both the regional and international levels.
He also noted the support and follow-up by Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Fujairah, for economic and investment projects that attract the business sector and support the requirements of developmental and sustainable transformation in Fujairah. In a related development, the Board of Directors of the Fujairah Chamber of Commerce and Industry elected Mohammed Ahmed Al Yamaahi as Chairman of the Board by acclamation for the 16th term (2026–2029).
Dr. Ali Mohammed Al Mulla was elected Vice Chairman, and Ahmed Hassan Al Yamaahi was elected Treasurer by acclamation. The nine board members who won elected seats were also announced: Salem Obaid Rashid Al Salami, Abdullah Mohammed Saeed Al Dhanhani, Marwan Khamis Abdullah bin Al Sheikh Al Hashmi, and Fatima Abdullah Mohammed Al Watani Al Ali.
Also elected were Ali Mohammed Ali Khalfan Al Kaabi and Sumaya Saif Saeed Al Zeyoudi. For his part, Sultan Al Hindassi confirmed that the Chamber's General Assembly meeting featured a comprehensive review of the most prominent activities and achievements accomplished during the 15th term of the Board of Directors, noting the Chamber's continued efforts to strengthen economic relations and conclude trade agreements.
In a separate matter, Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad Al Sharqi, Crown Prince of Fujairah, affirmed the importance of investing in the education sector and empowering national competencies with advanced knowledge and skills, in a way that contributes to supporting the journey of leadership and competitiveness in this field.
This came during His Highness's attendance at the 2026 graduation ceremony for the Applied Technology Schools in Fujairah, which saw 112 graduates, among them student Rashid Al Dhanhani, who ranked first nationwide among Applied Technology Schools in the Advanced Sciences track.
His Highness said that the continuous development witnessed by the education system in the UAE reflects the directives of Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Fujairah, aimed at consolidating an advanced educational system and preparing qualified national competencies that contribute to achieving the goals of comprehensive and sustainable development. His Highness congratulated the graduates and their families on this academic achievement, wishing them success in their future academic and professional paths and urging them to contribute effectively to serving the nation and its progress.
