The Federal Youth Authority has launched the 'UAE Summer 2026' programme under the slogan 'Towards a More Prepared Generation', aimed at empowering young people to develop their skills, enhance their readiness, and strengthen their connection to their national identity and community. The initiative aligns with the United Arab Emirates' approach to investing in human capital and preparing a generation capable of creating opportunities and achieving the country's developmental aspirations.
The programme aims to promote youth wellbeing through a comprehensive system that supports quality of life, physical health, and psychological resilience, alongside the development of life and professional skills by equipping participants with knowledge and practical experience that builds their confidence and raises their readiness for the future, thereby supporting a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship.
It also seeks to reinforce national identity and Emirati values to promote community participation and openness to global experiences and knowledge, in line with the aspirations of rising generations and the requirements of the coming phase.
His Excellency Dr Sultan bin Saif Al Neyadi, Minister of State for Youth Affairs and Chairman of the Federal Youth Authority, said: 'The United Arab Emirates follows a firm vision rooted in empowering young people and engaging them in the development journey by providing a supportive environment that enables them to acquire experiences qualifying them to contribute effectively to driving change across various nationally prioritised sectors.'
He added: 'This comes within the context of the state's forward-looking directions, which are committed to preparing human cadres who possess the skills and flexibility needed to deal with changes confidently.'
He further said: ''UAE Summer 2026' holds special importance as a national platform that keeps pace with the interests and aspirations of young people, offering them quality opportunities for learning, experience, and engagement, contributing to broadening their horizons and strengthening their presence across various fields. The programme also supports the entrenchment of values of responsibility and belonging, and enhances youth contributions to continuing the development journey witnessed by the United Arab Emirates.'
Khalid Mohammed Al Nuaimi, Director of the Federal Youth Authority, said: ''UAE Summer 2026' has been designed to deliver a comprehensive experience that responds to the interests and diverse needs of young people through programmes and activities combining skills development, applied experiences, and community interaction, within varied content that keeps pace with the aspirations of younger generations and maximises their benefit from the summer period across tracks linked to their daily lives and their professional and personal futures.'
He added: 'The programme was developed in collaboration with an extensive network of partners and experts to deliver an enriching experience combining knowledge and application, giving young people access to programmes, workshops, interactive sessions, and field activities covering a wide range of areas related to their lives and aspirations.'
He noted that the programme's design took into account the diversity of target groups and implementation sites across the country, ensuring the widest possible benefit and providing young men and women with the opportunity to participate in quality experiences that enrich their knowledge, develop their skills, and support their future pathways.
Jassem Al Dabbal, Director of Youth Centres Management at the Federal Youth Authority, said: 'In preparing the UAE Summer 2026 programme, which runs over four weeks, we were keen to build a diverse agenda of events that takes into account the interests and differing needs of young people aged 15 to 35, providing them with valuable opportunities to benefit from specialised content that enhances their engagement with the activities on offer and encourages them to invest the summer period in areas connected to their lives and aspirations.'
Al Dabbal added: 'The programme relies on an extensive implementation framework encompassing youth centres, youth spaces, community councils, oases, partners' premises, and collaborating entities, in addition to sports courts, outdoor spaces, and beach centres.'
'It comprises specialised courses, workshops, discussion sessions, dialogue meetings, sports activities, and field visits, providing diverse interactive environments that enrich participants' experiences and support the development of their skills and the broadening of their horizons across a number of vital fields.'
The programme runs from 13 July to 12 August 2026, delivering a comprehensive system of programmes combining learning, practical application, and community interaction, enhancing participants' readiness for the future and developing their creative skills.
