The Security Industry Regulatory Agency (SIRA) has launched the second, field phase of its flagship national initiative 'Thank You UAE', which aims to provide a unified platform for expressing feelings of gratitude, loyalty, and devotion to the United Arab Emirates — its leadership and its people. This phase follows on from the exceptional success of the first, digital phase, which was launched in May.
Since its launch, the initiative has received widespread public engagement that has exceeded expectations, with the platform receiving more than 160,000 messages of thanks and gratitude to date. These have been translated into documented participation certificates, each carrying genuine human experiences and sentiments.
The contributions included approximately 145,000 messages from within the country, in addition to several messages from abroad, which poured in from 35 countries. The initiative's website recorded nearly 453,000 visits from 136 countries around the world.
During the field tour, Dubai Customs hosted the official launch of the department's participation in the campaign, with Dr. Abdullah Busnaina, Director General of Dubai Customs, submitting the first message of thanks via the digital platform, in the presence of Khalifa Ibrahim Al Suwaidi, Chief Executive Officer of the Security Industry Regulatory Agency.
Customs employees at various ports participated with great enthusiasm and eagerness in recording their messages through dedicated tablets on-site, with participation set to remain open via the online link for all department staff and clients.
Khalifa Ibrahim Al Suwaidi affirmed that the finest thing a person can offer to the country that embraces them is a sincere word of thanks, noting that the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan — may God rest his soul — had, since the founding of the Union, established a wise approach that placed the human being as the true wealth and the foundation of development, an approach that the wise leadership continues to build upon in order to advance the present and look toward the future.
For his part, Dr. Abdullah Busnaina expressed the pride of all Dubai Customs staff in hosting the launch of the field phase of this cherished initiative, affirming that it embodies a sincere message of loyalty to the UAE and its wise leadership, and represents a community platform that reflects the highest meanings of belonging and gratitude to the homeland.
