The Sharjah Civil Defence Authority has launched the first edition of the 'Little Firefighter' programme, which transforms children from passive recipients of safety guidance into active partners in spreading it within their families and communities. The initiative sees 140 children from various cities across the emirate of Sharjah taking part in a distinctive experience.

Major General Yousef Obaid Harmoul Al Shamsi, Director General of the Sharjah Civil Defence Authority, inaugurated the programme at the Fire and Rescue Centre in the Al Malha area. It brings together children aged between 9 and 13 in a three-week programme combining hands-on training with interactive awareness activities.

Major General Al Shamsi affirmed that the 'Little Firefighter' programme embodies the authority's vision of building a society in which safety awareness begins with the child, as an active element in spreading preventive behaviours. He noted that investing in the awareness of new generations is an investment in a safer and more sustainable future.
