His Excellency Sheikh Zayed bin Hamad Al Nahyan, Chairman of the National Anti-Narcotics Committee, visited the headquarters of the General Authority of Islamic Affairs, Endowments and Zakat in Abu Dhabi, where he was received by His Excellency Dr. Omar Habtoor Al Darei, Chairman of the Authority, and a number of officials.

During the visit, Sheikh Zayed bin Hamad Al Nahyan was briefed on the Authority's most notable achievements and its efforts to fulfil its objectives in accordance with a renewed civilisational vision, as well as the mechanisms it follows in delivering religious services to the community, managing mosque affairs, and elevating the religious and civilisational message of those institutions in ways that reinforce their role in spreading awareness and entrenching the values of tolerant Islam.

His Excellency also listened to a presentation on the programmes and initiatives being implemented by the Authority to activate its communication platforms with the public, addressing issues and topics that touch on daily life, contributing to community awareness and strengthening intellectual and social security, alongside its efforts to harness modern technologies and artificial intelligence to develop and enhance its services.

The Authority's initiatives to entrench the values of tolerance, coexistence, and mutual respect among diverse communities and cultures were also reviewed, drawing on the United Arab Emirates' approach and its humanitarian mission calling for peace, openness, and understanding among peoples in order to build a stable life in which everyone can find happiness.

The meeting also included discussions on enhancing cooperation and making use of the Authority's platforms and awareness programmes to support national efforts aimed at raising the level of community awareness and promoting positive values that contribute to protecting members of society and preserving its stability.
