The Arab Youth Center has announced the opening of registration for the 'Arab Youth Professional Readiness Empowerment Programme', organised in partnership with LinkedIn, with the aim of equipping 500 young men and women from across the Arab world with the most in-demand professional and technical skills in the labour market, enhancing their readiness to keep pace with rapid transformations, and building more competitive and sustainable career pathways.
In this context, His Excellency Dr. Sultan bin Saif Al Neyadi, Minister of State for Youth Affairs and Deputy Chairman of the Centre, said: "The daily changes taking place across various professional fields have reshaped the nature of jobs, the skills required, and the tools used across different sectors, making investment in developing youth capabilities and preparing them for the future a strategic priority for enhancing the competitiveness of our societies and ensuring the sustainability of their development."
"From this standpoint, the Arab Youth Professional Readiness Empowerment Programme comes to give young people access to world-class learning tools, practical skills, and specialised knowledge that enable them to build career pathways that are better prepared and more resilient in facing the challenges of the future," he added.
His Excellency further stated: "At the Arab Youth Center, we believe that investing in youth is the most important investment in the future of our region. Through our partnership with LinkedIn, we are working to empower Arab youth to acquire the skills needed for the future, enhance their competitiveness and capacity for innovation, in a way that supports building a generation qualified to contribute to the knowledge economy and lead sustainable development in the Arab world."
For his part, Firas Abu Hamza, Head of the Government Sector at LinkedIn Middle East, said: "This initiative aims to invest in the capabilities of Arab youth and enhance their professional readiness in line with the priorities and requirements of the labour market."
"Through the LinkedIn Learning platform, we seek to provide world-class educational content, enable participants to develop their skills, build more competitive career pathways, and confidently prepare for the opportunities of the future," he added.
The programme runs for 5 months and combines specialised digital learning, accredited professional certificates, career guidance, and participant progress tracking, contributing to a tangible professional and personal impact.
The programme offers 10 specialised learning tracks through the LinkedIn Learning platform, covering artificial intelligence, data science, cybersecurity, cloud computing, digital development, and digital marketing, in addition to professional development, leadership and management, career path planning, and entrepreneurship and freelancing.
The programme also includes registration and selection phases, introductory and orientation sessions, and periodic participant follow-up, alongside specialised sessions on building a professional identity, developing professional networks, and exploring modern employment trends, before evaluating the programme's outcomes and measuring its impact upon completion.
