Manassa Distribution Company signed, the day before yesterday, in the presence of Her Highness Sheikha Badour bint Sultan Al Qasimi, Founder and Honorary President of the Emirates Publishers Association, a memorandum of understanding with the Malaysian Book City Foundation, aimed at strengthening the presence of UAE books and Arabic content in the Malaysian market by making publications from UAE publishing houses available through the digital Book Capital platform, one of Malaysia's officially recognised digital platforms for book distribution and sales.
Under the memorandum, Manassa Distribution Company will make publications from UAE publishing houses available through the Book Capital platform operated by the Malaysian Book City Foundation, while the Foundation will support the distribution of these publications within Malaysia and facilitate UAE publishers' access to the local market via one of the country's leading national platforms specialising in book sales and distribution.
The agreement includes cooperation to list more than 3,000 titles from UAE publishers distributed by Manassa on the Book Capital platform.
