The Ministry of Justice has won two international awards at the World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS) and the AI for Good Forum, both organised by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) in partnership with United Nations organisations in Geneva.
The ministry won the WSIS Champions 2026 award for its "AI Digital Agencies" project, which enables the issuance of 12 types of legal powers of attorney fully electronically and without human intervention, using artificial intelligence technologies, within a matter of minutes.
The ministry also won the Innovate for Impact Award 2026 for its "AI Virtual Family Advisor" project, which provides members of the public with family consultations prepared by specialist family advisors and programmed using artificial intelligence to expedite access to the service around the clock, seven days a week, with the option of being transferred directly to a family advisor on request.
This achievement reflects the United Arab Emirates' leadership in harnessing artificial intelligence to develop judicial services, enhancing the efficiency of the justice system and delivering a sustainable impact that serves the rule of law.
