Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and Chairman of the Sharjah Executive Council, presided yesterday morning over a meeting of the Council held at the office of His Highness the Ruler, in the presence of Sheikh Abdullah bin Salem bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and Deputy Chairman of the Sharjah Executive Council, and Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmad bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and Deputy Chairman of the Sharjah Executive Council.
The meeting addressed a number of agenda items related to monitoring the performance of departments and authorities, reviewing developments in government work and plans for its advancement, with a view to enhancing the efficiency of government services in the Emirate of Sharjah.
The Council issued a resolution concerning the transfer of Abdullah Mohammed Obaid Al Kudaid from the Department of Statistics and Community Development to the Municipality of Khor Fakkan, where he is promoted to the rank of "Department Director" under the special positions system in the Sharjah government and appointed Director of the Khor Fakkan City Municipality. The Council also approved the transfer of Jassim Mohammed Ahmed Buhendi from the Department of Human Resources to the Municipality of Khor Fakkan, and his appointment as Deputy Director of the Municipality.
The Council issued a resolution forming the Permanent Committee for Those Lacking Social Care, chaired by Judge Dr. Omar Obaid Al Ghoul, with the following members: Major General Omar Ahmed Bu Al Zoud as Deputy Chairman, Maryam Majid Saeed Al Shamsi, Adviser Abdul Rahman Dawood Al Awadhi, Suleiman Khamis Al Naqbi, Moudhi bint Mohammed Al Shamsi, Dr. Abdullah Suleiman Al Kaboori, Mohammed Abdullah Al Zaroni, Colonel Thani Ahmed Thani Al Suwaidi, and Ali Mohammed Al Ali as Committee Rapporteur.
The Council reviewed a report on the participation of the Sharjah Health Authority in the World Health Expo 2026, which reflected the highlighting of the Authority's vital role in developing the healthcare system and spotlighting its initiatives and programmes, as well as exchanging expertise with local and international entities and reviewing the latest modern health practices and technologies, with a view to improving quality of life and enhancing community awareness. The report also covered key statistics on the Sharjah Health Authority's participation in the expo.
